Proverbs 29:18 says "Where there is no vision, the people perish".
The dream and vision that God has put in my heart is that my pictures will touch people and reveal the character of God through the pictures I draw. They are illustrated sermons, that speak without words and I pray God's Holy Spirit flows out from them to save, heal, and to mend the broken hearted in order to reach the lost.
One day while reading Job 8:7 and God spoke to my heart right then and He said to me,
"Where you began will seem unimportant, because your future will be so successful" (NCV)
God has forgiven me for the twenty-five years I ran from Him. He has wiped away my past in order to reveal the future so that He can finish the work He started in me so long ago. I started praying, seeking, and asking for direction from God, and by doing this he has renewed the gift and talent that had lain dormant.
Every artist has there own unique way of illustrating and expressing what they feel and see on a blank canvas. Now you can see how God reveals Himself on my canvas and how real He is to me. My prayer is that when you hang these pictures in your home, you will experience the power of God's Holy Spirit in your life. It has been about 30 years since I have drawn. I knew God would have to guide my hand to do His work. My first illustration is called "Perfect Love" (you can view it on the gallery page). When you look at it I want you to think of several things:
• No matter how dark your world seems, the light of Jesus can come in and carry you through.
• What Jesus did for us was the greatest sacrifice. It was the most brutal way of death. Yet He did it for you, He died so you would have life eternal and life more abundantly.
• We need to strive to be like Jesus. The Bible says we need to forgive our brother seven times seventy-that is 490 times! Jesus will always forgive us, and we must always forgive others.
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man to lay down his life for his friends" -John15:13
