At an early age I had a talent for drawing. I was continually encouraged by my mom to pursue my artistic capabilities that she called "A God given talent". I continued drawing throughout my teenage years, but I never thought I was good enough to pursue a career in art. Little did I know the plan God had for me. At the age of 18, I gave my life to Christ and dedicated my life to serve Him. I was sold out for the Lord, and changed from the inside out by God's grace and mercy. He washed my sins clean, and cleared my mind from doubt. The most important thing was I was on fire for God, and pursued a relationship with him. I became a member of a church and desired above all to be used by God. I read my Bible and prayed for wisdom in everything that I did. After an incident in which I trusted man and was rejected I took my eyes off of God and I allowed the hurt and rejection from man to cause bitterness to come into my life and reside in my heart. I was hurt and dismayed and gave up on God and my talent for art and ran from God. After 25 years of backsliding and allowing bitterness and anger to control my life, God got my attention and I rededicated my life to Jesus and he has forgiven me and renewed the hunger I had for him so long ago. I thank God for always being there and never giving up on me! And I feel God has a lot of work to do in my life.
